Former US President Donald Trump will not agree to a deal with the investigation in the case of payment of funds to the actress. The politician's lawyers claim that "there was no crime".
This is reported by Sky News.
Former US President Joe Tacopina's lawyer said that Trump was "shocked" by the court's decision to bring charges and considers it an "injustice".
According to the lawyer, Trump "is in a state where he is ready to fight this."
Asked if there was a chance the ex-president would make a deal with the investigation, Tacopina said Trump was not going to plead guilty.
"Zero. First of all, I don't agree to anything. But President Trump is not going to take a plea deal in this case. It's not going to happen. There's no crime," he said.
The lawyer also commented on the probable arrest of the US ex-leader, if the court still makes such a decision. He noted that the legal team was "working out those logistics," but Trump "wasn't going to sit out" at his Florida resort.
It will be recalled that the Grand Jury in the court of New York found Trump involved in the payment of 130 thousand dollars to actress Stormy Daniels. This is the first time in US history that a president can be arrested.
