Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed confidence that he will be able to attract even more voters to support his candidacy and win in the second round of elections on May 28.

 According to the Turkish leader, although the margin from his main rival Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in the first round was 2.5 million votes, the lack of 0.5% of votes became the reason for the announcement of the second round of voting.

 "We are determined to continue our efforts and prove our responsibility to the people on May 28. I am sure that according to the results of the May 28 vote, we will exceed the results of the May 14 election, and thus achieve a historic success," Erdogan said.

 He stated that he would immediately begin work on preparations for the May 28 vote.

 "We strive to win the votes of all voters, regardless of political views," he concluded.

 We will remind you that the first round of presidential elections in Turkey did not determine the winner. Erdogan and joint opposition candidate Kemal Kilicdaroglu will compete in the second round on May 28.
