The Prime Minister of the Netherlands directly called Transnistria a territory under the occupation of the Russian Federation

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said that he considers the unrecognized Transnistria to be a territory under Russian occupation.

His statement was made in communication with the mass media at the beginning of the summit of the European Political Community, which is being held in Moldova.

Rutte noted that the leaders came to the summit in Moldova, which is very close to Ukraine, where many atrocities are taking place.

"And in fact, Moldova is also partially occupied by Russia. And the fact that we are here - the leaders of more than 40 countries - is evidence that we will support this country, we will support Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression," said the Prime Minister of the Netherlands.

Mark Rutte said that an important issue on the agenda will be military aid, in particular, increasing the number of Patriot air defense systems that Ukraine has.
