Elon Musk denies disconnecting of Starlink near the coast of Crimea and disrupting the attack on the Russian fleet

Elon Musk, an American billionaire, said that he did not give instructions to his specialists to turn off the Starlink satellite network near the coast of occupied Crimea because it was not activated there. He announced this on Twitter.

Earlier, CNN wrote that the businessman tried to disrupt the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attack on the Russian Navy by deactivating the service.

"The specified Starlink regions were not activated. SpaceX has not deactivated anything," he wrote.

Elon Musk reacted to the statements of billionaire Walter Isaacson published by CNN on September 7 and responded to a post by Mario Nawfal, co-founder of NFTech, who suggested that Musk "could have prevented a nuclear war."

Nawfal claimed that Musk "secretly instructed his engineers to shut down the Starlink satellite communications network during a major Ukrainian offensive to prevent a surprise attack by Ukraine on the Russian navy."

Musk himself emphasized that he had received an emergency request from Ukrainian government agencies to activate Starlink all the way to the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol in Russia.

"Obviously, the goal was to sink most of the Russian fleet anchored there. If I had agreed to their request, SpaceX would have become a clear accomplice to a major military act and escalation of the conflict," the businessman wrote.

Earlier, we reported that American billionaire Elon Musk last year ordered to disable the Starlink satellite network near the Crimean coast to prevent Ukraine from attacking the Russian navy. This is reported by CNN.
