The most difficult situation is in the Lyman-Kupyansk direction, - Ukrainian Armed Forces spokesman Yevlash

The most tense situation is in the Lyman-Kupyansk direction, said Illia Yevlash, a spokesman for the press service of the eastern group of Ukrainian Armed Forces, during a telethon. The situation there is more difficult than in the Bakhmut area.

Fighting continues in the area of the railway in the Bakhmut direction, where the Ukrainian defense forces are trying to push back the enemy and strengthen their positions. Over the last day, 489 attacks from various types of weapons were registered, as well as 6 air attacks.

Yevlash said that the most difficult situation is in the Lyman-Kupyansk direction: "The enemy is intensively using its new Su-35 attack aircraft, which can shoot at both air and ground targets. They mostly come in pairs. The enemy is also using Ka-52 helicopters, Su-25s, and sometimes Mi-8s come in pairs, but the intensity of the assault has increased."

Eight combat engagements took place in the Lyman-Kupyansk direction over the last day, and intensified shelling of Makiivka began. Over 110,000 Russian troops, 1,085 tanks, almost 2,000 armored combat vehicles, over 700 artillery systems and almost five hundred multiple launch rocket systems are concentrated in this direction.
