Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is ready to postpone the deployment of troops to the Gaza Strip in order to devote more time to hostage negotiations. This was reported by Axios.


According to the publication, US President Joe Biden is seeking to postpone Israel's ground operation in order to provide humanitarian assistance to as many Palestinians as possible, as well as to allow the departure of more than 500 American citizens who are now in the conflict zone.


It is worth noting that Netanyahu "has his reasons for hesitation." Despite the pressure from officials demanding quick action against Hamas, the Israeli prime minister is not ready to take the risk.


Axios notes that Netanyahu is skeptical about the plans of the Israeli military, so he is now listening to other points of view.
