Russia announced the regrouping of troops from Kherson region, then denied it

The Russian state-run TASS and RIA Novosti news agencies reported that the command of the Russian army's Dnipro group, which is fighting in the Kherson area, had decided to "regroup troops." Later, both agencies deleted their reports, and the Russian Defense Ministry called the incident a "provocation."

Initial reports from the agencies, citing the Russian Defense Ministry, stated that "having assessed the situation, the command of the Dnipro group decided to move troops to more favorable positions east of Dnipro" in the Kherson region. "After the regrouping, Dnipro will free up some of the forces that will be used for an offensive in other directions," the reports specified.

A few minutes later, the initial news about the "regrouping" on TASS and RIA Novosti were deleted, and instead, posts appeared stating that the news about the redeployment had been canceled as having been released "by mistake."

The Russian Federation claims an alleged "Ukrainian trace" in the publication of a report on the withdrawal of troops in Kherson region.

"RIA Novosti could have received information about the redeployment of troops from a fake account of the Defense Ministry, which is probably run from the territory of Ukraine," the public outlet "Ostrozhno, Novosti" reports, citing a source in RIA.

It is worth noting that on the left bank of the Kherson region, according to media reports, Ukrainian troops have established a bridgehead near the village of Krynky.
