On the morning of November 27, the Ministry of Internal Affairs published a report on the elimination of the consequences of the bad weather in Ukraine. 14 highways were closed, and 2,019 settlements were cut off in 16 regions.
Situation by regions:
Odesa region is facing the most difficult situation in the north and south of the region. Snow drifts reach one and a half meters. Rescuers, police, National Guard, and border guards are involved in eliminating the consequences of bad weather. Border guards evacuated 42 people, including 10 children, from buses near the village of Udobne. Rescuers used a snowmobile to free six people on the Izmail-Reni highway. More than 500 vehicles were towed, including 14 buses and 12 emergency vehicles. A total of 1624 people, including 93 children, were provided with aid. Six people turned to doctors with signs of hypothermia;
Mykolaiv region - traffic is blocked on 10 sections of roads, with snowdrifts reaching two meters. The units of the State Emergency Service were engaged 49 times to eliminate the consequences of the weather, 75 cars were towed away;
Cherkasy region - traffic is hampered near the town of Kamyanka. Police organized traffic in reverse. Rescuers deployed mobile heating stations;
Kirovograd region - a traffic jam has been cleared near the village of Velyka Vyska, 30 trucks are standing on the roadside. 164 vehicles have been towed away and 293 people have been helped.
The weather is also raging in Crimea. Nearly 500,000 people have been left without electricity due to the storm.
"There are 166 disconnected 10kV power lines, 1185 transformer substations, 365 0.4 power lines, and 498 thousand people," the local "authorities" report.
The most affected districts of the peninsula are Chornomorsk, Saky, Belogorsk, Simferopol and Bakhchisaray. In the Chornomorsk district, water supply, sewage and centralized heating have been cut off due to power outages.
At the same time, the "governor" of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that according to forecasts, the peak of the storm in Crimea is still ahead. The storm will also hit the Kerch Strait, where the Crimean bridge is located.
Kyiv is also experiencing severe weather conditions of the second (orange) level of danger. There is heavy snowfall, ice on the roads, and wind gusts of up to 22 m/s. The liquidation of the consequences of bad weather is ongoing.
For this purpose, the city has engaged about 500 units of special equipment and almost 4,500 employees (Kyivavtodor, Zelenbud, management companies).
"Educational institutions are operating in a mixed mode - offline and online. It is up to parents to decide whether to send their children to school," KCMA said.
