The wife of the head of the GUR, Kyrylo Budanov, was poisoned and is in the hospital. Babel writes about this with reference to intelligence sources.

According to them, Marianna Budanova was diagnosed with heavy metal poisoning.

"These substances are not used in everyday life or military affairs. Their presence may indicate a deliberate attempt to poison a particular person," the source said.

After a prolonged deterioration in her health, Marianna Budanova was hospitalized. She is currently completing her treatment and will be under medical supervision.

An attempted murder is under investigation.

Heavy metals were used to poison not only the wife of the head of the GUR Budanov, but also several other intelligence officers, Ukrainian media report, citing sources.


"Most likely, they poisoned her through food. She is already feeling better, she has completed the first stage of treatment. Since Budanov's wife is small with a small weight, it manifested itself faster in her. And so the poisoning was confirmed in several other employees. They are just a little bit huge, they didn't notice anything about themselves, and now they are also being treated," the sources say.


There have been no official comments on the matter so far.
