Russia is preparing to intensify attacks on Ukrainian cities - Stoltenberg

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has called to prepare for increased Russian attacks on Ukraine's infrastructure this winter. He said this at a briefing in Brussels.

"We will of course review the situation in Ukraine. We see intense fighting along the front line. And we see waves of drone strikes on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure. And we need to prepare for more attacks against Ukrainian cities. Therefore, it is very important that NATO member states continue to support Ukraine," Stoltenberg said.

According to him, member states are expected to reaffirm their unwavering support for Ukraine at a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council, which will be attended by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

He noted that the Defense Forces inflict serious losses on the Russians in the offensive and have already recaptured 50% of the occupied territories.

"This is a great victory for Ukraine. Russia is weaker politically, economically and militarily than before the war," the official said.
