Israel and Hamas decided to extend temporary truce

Israel and Hamas have agreed to extend their truce for at least one more day, allowing for the release of more hostages, Bloomberg reports.

The Israeli military on Thursday, November 30, confirmed that the truce will continue after this morning, without giving any specific terms.

"Amid the efforts of mediators to continue the process of releasing hostages and in accordance with the terms of the agreement, the operational pause will be extended," the Israeli Defense Forces said in a statement.

Hamas also confirmed the extension of the truce.

These statements were made a few minutes before the previous truce agreement was due to expire at 7 a.m. local time.
