Zelensky on the summer counteroffensive: Ukraine did not achieve the desired results

Ukraine did not achieve the desired results during the summer counteroffensive of the Armed Forces, but our defenders are not retreating. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with AP News.

"Look, we are not retreating, I am satisfied. We are fighting the second largest army in the world - I am satisfied. We are losing people - I am not satisfied. We did not get all the weapons we wanted - I cannot be satisfied, but I cannot complain too much," Zelensky said.

He noted that the Armed Forces' counteroffensive did not achieve the desired results.

"We wanted to get faster results. From this point of view, unfortunately, we did not achieve the desired results. And this is a fact," the Head of State emphasized.

According to him, Ukraine has not received all the weapons it needs from its allies, and limited forces do not allow for a quick offensive.

"There is not enough strength to achieve the desired results faster. But this does not mean that we should give up. We are confident in our actions. We are fighting for what belongs to us," the President said.
