More than 66 settlements are without power due to bad weather in five regions of Ukraine

As of Friday morning, 66 settlements in Zakarpattia, Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions were without power due to bad weather, Ukrenergo reports.

The most difficult situation remains in Odesa region - 14 settlements have been cut off for more than a day. In addition, according to the Ministry of Energy, the bad weather has added to the problems in Zakarpattia region, where 35 settlements are without power, and Sumy region, where 12 settlements are without electricity.

Due to hostilities and other reasons, 426 settlements remain without electricity.

The Ministry of Energy notes that over the past day, power companies have restored electricity to more than 49 thousand customers.

At the same time, Ukrenergo emphasizes that the electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is still sufficient to supply household and legal consumers.

"The dispatch center does not yet predict a shortage in the power system during the day. However, the situation is complicated by the fact that due to dense cloud cover, solar power plants cannot operate at their maximum capacity. Therefore, we ask you to consume electricity carefully," the statement said.

The company emphasized that while consumption limits have not been introduced, no outage schedules have been introduced and are not expected.
