Russia restores combat capabilities and threatens Baltic states – NATO General

The commander of NATO's multinational North-Eastern Corps, Lieutenant General Jürgen-Joachim von Zandrart, believes that Russia, despite the war of aggression in Ukraine, has begun to restore its combat capabilities, which threatens the Baltic region. The NATO official told LRT.

"Russia is currently largely committed to its illegal war against Ukraine, but it has already begun and will continue to rebuild its capabilities separately from the war in Ukraine, and this poses an increased threat to the Baltic Sea region," he noted.

In this regard, he admitted that Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, who says that Russia is mobilizing its resources against NATO, is right.
