Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has scheduled early elections for February 7, 2024. This was reported by the press service of the President of Azerbaijan.


Aliyev signed a decree to hold early elections in Azerbaijan in February on Thursday, December 7.


The Central Election Commission was instructed to ensure the holding of the elections. According to the law, the president of Azerbaijan is elected for a 7-year term.


It should be noted that elections in the country were supposed to be held only in 2025.
