President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas on Friday, December 8. This was reported in the President's Telegram.
"After Russia's morning attempts to launch a missile strike on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, I emphasized the importance of further strengthening Ukraine's air defense," Zelensky wrote.
He noted that this is especially important for the frontline regions: Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Odesa to protect the regional center and the "grain corridor."
In addition, Zelensky and Kallas discussed the importance of maintaining the EU's political and financial support for Ukraine, as well as the unity of the European Union, given the expected decisions of the European Council summit to open accession negotiations and provide €50 billion in support.
"Ukraine, for its part, fulfills all its obligations to the EU," the Head of State emphasized.
The politicians also focused on the joint efforts of Ukraine and Estonia to counter Russian disinformation and cooperation in cybersecurity.
