Russians continue offensive at Kupyansk, Lyman and Bakhmut directions - Syrskyi

Russians continue to advance at the Kupyansk, Lyman and Bakhmut directions. In particular, they are trying to capture the village of Synkivka to block Kupyansk. This was reported by the commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi in Telegram.

"In order to create conditions for blocking Kupyansk, the enemy is trying to capture the village of Synkivka with assault companies," he said.

However, according to him, the invaders are suffering significant losses in manpower.

"In this regard, the enemy began to transfer assault units that were in reserve to the area," added Syrskyi.

In addition, Russian troops are conducting active offensives in the areas of Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Lyman Pershy and in the direction of Siversk.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy is advancing to push the Ukrainian Armed Forces beyond the Chornyi Zherebets River and out of the Serebryany forestry area.

"They are conducting unsuccessful assault operations in the direction of Zhytlivka, Terny and are constantly moving personnel from the territory of the Russian Federation to man up assault units," the general stated.

Russian troops are also focusing significant efforts on the Bakhmut direction to the north and west of Bakhmut. Airborne units, special forces units and the 200th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Northern Fleet are being used for assault operations.

"Despite the difficult conditions and continuous offensive actions of the occupants, our soldiers steadfastly hold the occupied lines," said Syrskyi.
