The head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, said during a telethon that the number of MPs who want to resign early is "quite large," but the Rada "does not let them go."

"In fact, the number of people who want to leave the parliament is much higher. We are no longer letting people go... We say that we simply won't vote for it, because people have to sit through the end (of the current term of the Verkhovna Rada) and pass the laws necessary for the state," he said.

Arakhamia notes that the work of the parliament should now be optimized and the minimum number of MPs in groups should be reduced.

"This is necessary to preserve these groups so that the parliament, conditionally, will work in approximately the same structural mode as it started working until the new convocation," he said.

It should be noted that as of December 11, 2023, the number of MPs in the Verkhovna Rada is 400, while according to the law, there should be 450.
