Azerbaijan and Armenia have exchanged military personnel. This was reported by the Echo of the Caucasus.


As noted, the exchange took place at the border.


Two soldiers returned to Azerbaijan and 32 to Armenia.


Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said that Armenia and Azerbaijan are discussing the idea of withdrawing troops from the border.


"We believe that the withdrawal of troops will have a really positive effect and will help prevent a possible new escalation. I am not saying that we have an agreement on this. This is an idea that is being discussed," he said.
