Ukraine has received a tranche of $900 million from the IMF, - Shmyhal

Ukraine has received the previously approved next tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) under the Extended Fund Facility program for almost $900 million. The money has already been credited to the account and will be used for budgetary purposes. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Twitter.


"Ukraine has received about $900 million from the IMF to its accounts. These funds will be used to finance priority budget expenditures," the statement reads.


The prime minister thanked IMF head Kristalina Georgieva and the fund's staff "for quick decisions in favor of Ukraine and for their appreciation of Ukraine's reform efforts."
