According to preliminary estimates, pensions will be indexed by 13% in 2024, First Deputy Minister of Social Policy Daria Marchak said during a telethon.

"For 2024, we also expect indexation. The exact amount will be calculated based on the macroeconomic indicators that we will see in mid-February. But, preliminarily, we expect an increase of about 13%," the Deputy Minister said.

According to her, this will protect pensioners from the negative impact of inflation.

It is worth noting that according to the data of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, the average pension in 2023 increased by UAH 762.66, or 16.5%, to UAH 5,385.25.

At the same time, the official inflation rate in Ukraine in 2023 was about 5%. The main increase in pensions in 2023 was due to the indexation that took place from March 1.
