Ukraine calls on partners to fully implement the decision on one million shells

Ukraine expects its partners to fully implement the decision on one million artillery shells. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a joint press conference with Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas.

"Ukraine expects 'very practical things' from its partners: a decision on the artillery package. We did not receive this package in full, and today this initiative of Estonia (to increase the production of shells - ed.) gives us an opportunity to put pressure on the leaders of those countries that signed this decision. If the word of serious leaders is worth anything, and I am sure it is, they need to fulfill the decisions they made. And I really want us to receive this package and see the contracts," Zelensky said.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine expects concrete steps from its partners in implementing the decision on the artillery package. The President emphasized the importance of receiving this package in full and reminded that Estonia's initiative could be the basis for putting pressure on the leaders of the countries that signed the decision.

Zelensky noted that the terms of arms supplies sometimes become a stressful factor for the Ukrainian military. However, if the contracts are signed, the military will be confident that the weapons, albeit with a delay, will get to the battlefield and strengthen the army.

Speaking about cooperation, Zelensky noted that Ukraine counts on support in protecting cyberspace both bilaterally and within the IT coalition. It is also important to receive the results of financial assistance from the EU, the decision on which is to be made on February 1. The President expressed gratitude for the support of the allies in this matter.

At the end of his speech, Zelensky emphasized the need for support in terms of security guarantees and Ukraine's future membership in NATO. He called for concrete actions and recognized that this mobilizes citizens and confirms their repeated unity against the threat posed by Russia.
