According to the IDF, about 20 suspicious persons, some of them armed, arrived at the border with Egypt, and Israeli military opened fire on them. This was stated by the IDF.
"IDF soldiers operating in the area opened fire in the direction of the armed persons, and a hit was recorded," the IDF said.
Later it became known that one of the Israeli soldiers was lightly wounded during the firefight. According to the Israeli Defense Forces, the wounded soldier was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
