Grants for entrepreneurs: 100 million euros from the EU and Germany to Ukrainian companies

Ukrainian micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises with export capacity and innovative potential can receive 100 grants of up to EUR 10,000 for recovery and development. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.


The money is provided under the EU4Business initiative funded by the European Union and the German government.


The competition is open to those working in the following areas of MSMEs: processing (machine building, furniture, food and light industry); creative industries; logistics and transport; other sectors with export or innovation potential (e.g., educational and medical services).

100 grants are provided under the EU4Business international cooperation program: SMEs' recovery, competitiveness and internationalization, funded by the European Union and the German Government. The strategic manager of the program is the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The implementing partner is the public organization EasyBusiness.


Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale aggression, the EU and Germany have jointly launched five grant competitions through the EU4Business program, providing more than €5.5 million to more than 1,100 Ukrainian MSMEs.
