NATO Chief Jens Stoltenberg beganan important trip to the United States on Monday, where he will meet with representatives of the Biden administration, lawmakers, and allies of former President Donald Trump. One of the goals of his trip is to secure $60 billion in funding for Ukraine. Stoltenberg said this in Washington during a joint press conference with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

Thus, on Tuesday, Stoltenberg will visit the Congress, where he will meet with House Speaker Mike Johnson, Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and other representatives of both parties.

"Tomorrow I will meet with members of Congress for the first time. And I am certainly looking forward to meeting with them to discuss many issues, including Ukraine," the NATO Secretary General said.

The Secretary General also expressed confidence that all NATO allies, including the United States, will continue to support Ukraine. According to him, Putin's victory would have unleashed the hands of "other authoritarian leaders - North Korea, Iran and China."
