Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs: A quarter of the Ministry's staff is at the front and they also need weapons and ammunition

During a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Germany to Ukraine Martin Eger, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko said that the Ministry of Internal Affairs also needs additional weapons and ammunition, as a quarter of the department's staff is at the front.


"The Ministry of Internal Affairs system is an important component of Ukraine's defense. Almost a quarter of the entire staff is currently at the frontline. And we also need weapons and ammunition," said Klymenko.


He also spoke about the assistance Ukraine has already received from its partners. According to Ihor Klymenko, all the assistance provided is clearly accounted for and its use is carefully monitored.


"Germany handed over 40 cars for the State Border Guard Service, 6 mechanized demining vehicles, and special equipment, reagents and consumables for conducting DNA research to the Expert Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs," the Interior Minister added.
