The spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, said that the Russian large landing ship Caesar Kunikov destroyed in Crimea had a crew of 87 people on board, but there is no data on the exact number of casualties among sailors, LIGA.net reports.

Pletenchuk noted that although there is no information on the number of sailors on board at the moment, one can be sure that "if it was at sea, it means the crew was on board."

"As of now, there is no verified information about this, there is only information that the search operation was unsuccessful," the navy spokesman said.
