Zelensky and his wife honored the memory of the Heavenly Hundred heroes

Ukraine preserves the memory of the Heavenly Hundred, who set an example of the struggle for freedom. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his address on February 20, dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the shooting on Instytutska Street in Kyiv during the Revolution of Dignity.

"The memory of the fact that in the most difficult moments of history we never give up. We stand for each other, for the sake of each other. The memory that the unity of Ukrainians has no enemy who can defeat it. That the self-sacrifice of Ukrainians has no limits and makes history," Zelensky said.

He stated that ten years ago, Ukrainians once and for all chose to live only in a European state, and the struggle for this continues today on the battlefield with Russia.

Together with his wife, Olena Zelenska, the president visited the memorial on Instytutska Street in Kyiv, where a mass shooting of protesters took place on February 20, 2014. The video was published on the President's Telegram channel.

"Ten years ago, they tried to kill Ukrainians in their own country, in their own capital, just for the peaceful choice to be themselves and be free... There were bullets against the unarmed Heavenly Hundred. Now it is missiles, drones and armies. But ten years ago, we survived and we are still standing," Zelensky said in his post.
