Zelensky submitted draft law on demobilization of conscripts to the Verkhovna Rada

President Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on the demobilization of conscripts. The relevant document was registered in parliament and sent to the Rada leadership and the Defense Committee for consideration.

The text states that conscripts whose term of service expired during martial law are to be discharged within the timeframe determined by a presidential decree. That is, the exact terms of demobilization are not specified and everything will be determined by Zelensky's decree.

MP Oleksiy Honcharenko wrote that parliamentarians could consider the bill as early as February 23.

The bill itself is marked as urgent.

It is about those soldiers who served in the military before the invasion and were left to serve indefinitely afterwards, which causes dissatisfaction among the soldiers themselves and their relatives.
