On Thursday afternoon, March 7, Russian troops attacked Sumy. According to the Sumy RMA, civilian infrastructure objects were damaged.
An air alert was declared in Sumy at 14:36 due to the threat of a ballistic strike. At 14:42, an explosion was heard in the city.
According to the information of Sumy RMA, the Russians launched a missile attack on the city.
"Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged. All necessary services are working on the spot. The consequences of the Russian attack are being clarified," the administration added.
UPDATED
As a result of the attack on Sumy, medical and educational institutions were damaged. There is also an injured person, according to the Sumy RMA.
The following buildings were damaged: a school; the central city hospital; the regional emergency medical center; and the water utility.
