The first batch of ammunition from the Czech Republic is expected in April, - Shmyhal

As early as April, Ukraine expects to receive the first batch of artillery ammunition under the Czech initiative. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a telethon.

According to Shmyhal, during the EU-Ukraine Association Council, which took place today, March 20, in Brussels, the issue of finding additional resources to the funds currently being raised by the Czech Republic for the purchase of artillery shells for our country was raised. Ukraine expects to receive the first batch of ammunition in April.

"We will have them on the battlefield in the near future. This is important because we are interested in the speed, quality and timeliness of deliveries," the Prime Minister added.

Shmyhal emphasized that the European initiative to purchase shells for Ukraine is a separate direction. This is an additional resource that our country will also receive this year. Schedules are currently being worked out.

It is worth noting that Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky earlier said that his country had already delivered 300,000 shells to Ukraine.
