Germany will transfer 10,000 artillery ammunition to Ukraine in the near future

In the coming days, Germany will be able to transfer 10,000 artillery ammunition to Ukraine, which were previously announced as part of a military aid package. This was stated by the head of the Situation Center for Ukraine under the German Ministry of Defense, Christian Freuding, Deutsche Welle reports.

According to him, Berlin decided to supply ammunition to Ukraine in three stages.

"At the first stage - in the coming days - Germany will hand over 10,000 shells to Kyiv," he said.

Next, Germany will take part in a Czech initiative to purchase shells for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In the long term, Germany has signed a bilateral agreement to supply Ukraine with another 100,000 shells starting approximately from the fourth quarter of 2024.
