Kaniv and Dniester HPPs were the targets of Russia's attack last night, - Zelensky

Today, on March 29, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. During the meeting, they discussed the consequences of the occupiers' strikes on the energy sector and new arms supplies. This was reported on Zelensky's Telegram page.

"The First Stavka, which was convened by the new NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Lytvynenko. The challenges are very serious," the statement said.

According to the President, Russian terrorists have struck again at the Ukrainian energy sector. At the meeting, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko, and heads of the boards of Ukrenergo and Naftogaz Volodymyr Kudrytskyi and Oleksiy Chernyshov reported on the damage and restoration work.

"We discussed the most effective ways of physical protection and their implementation at other facilities," the president added.

Zelensky also said that last night, Kaniv and Dniester HPPs became deliberate targets of the enemy.

"The terrorist country wants to repeat the environmental disaster in the Kherson region. But now not only Ukraine, but also Moldova is under threat," the President of Ukraine said.

According to the President, the water will not stop at the border posts, just as the Russian war will not stop unless we stop it in Ukraine together and in time.
