The USA has ruled out its participation in repelling Russian air attacks in Ukraine

American fighter jets will not participate in repelling Russian air attacks in Ukraine, as they did for Israel, helping to repel the Iranian massive attack on the night of April 14. This was announced at a briefing by John Kirby, Strategic Communications Coordinator of the US National Security Council.

"Different conflicts, different airspace, different threat picture," Kirby said.

He stated that direct involvement of NATO forces in the conflict with Russia would be a dangerous escalation.

Kirby emphasized that at the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, US President Joe Biden made it clear that the country would not take part in hostilities.

The politician emphasized that Washington had been supplying Ukraine with the means the country needs to protect its airspace.

"We can't do it now because we don't have the additional funding that they (Ukrainians) so desperately need," Kirby said, referring to the aid package blocked in the US Congress.
