Missile attack on Chernihiv: 13 dead, more than 60 wounded (UPDATED)

As a result of the strikes by Iskander missiles on Chernihiv, 13 people have been killed. 61 residents were injured, including two children. Three people were rescued from the rubble. This was reported by the State Emergency Service.


A rescue operation is underway in the city, and there may still be people under the rubble.

 

 

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba said that an eight-story building was destroyed in Chernihiv, a higher education institution, a medical facility, four high-rise buildings, and dozens of cars were damaged.

 

 

It is worth noting that former MP Ihor Mosiychuk claims that the hit in Chernihiv was at the hotel where the military were staying. The authorities did not officially confirm this, and no casualties among the military were reported.

 

 

According to the photos of the destroyed building published by the authorities, it is one of the city's hotels.
