President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited the command post of the 41st Mechanized Brigade which is defending Chasiv Yar. This is reported by the press service of the head of state.
"The head of state listened to the report of Brigade Commander Serhiy Romashko on the operational situation in the area of responsibility of the 41st Brigade, combat tasks and interaction with neighboring units. Serhiy Romashko also reported on the construction of defensive lines and the installation of minefields," the statement said.
In addition, Zelensky presented awards to the military.
It should be noted that the Russian army entered the eastern outskirts of Chasiv Yar. The city is located on a hill, making it a key defense hub for Ukraine in the area.
