Russian military strengthens fortifications in Crimea ahead of potential escalation - ATESH

The Russian military has begun active construction of fortifications throughout the temporarily occupied Crimea, including areas off the coast, near the border with Kherson region and in the central part of the peninsula. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the ATESH partisan movement.

According to the report, the Russian military is installing new trenches, strengthening existing ones, and increasing the protection of logistics facilities.

Partisans assume that such activity is related to the arrival of military and financial aid to Ukraine from its allies.

Reports of the possible arrival of ATACMS ballistic missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces worries the Russian authorities, as these missiles, along with F-16 fighters and other means, could cause serious changes in the strategic battlefield, in particular, threatening the Crimean bridge.
