Unblocked: Telegram restores work of Ukrainian bots to fight Russian aggression

Official Ukrainian bots on Telegram, which were intended to counter Russian aggression, have resumed their work after being temporarily blocked. This was reported by the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security on Facebook.

The message states that this applies to the bots of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, the Security Service, and the Ministry of Digital Transformation's “eVorog” bot.

It is also noted that Russians can create pseudo-bots and lookalike bots to spread disinformation and collect personal data of citizens.

To avoid such situations, concerned citizens are advised to use chatbot verification tools and follow official channels.

Earlier we reported that the Telegram platform decided to block a number of official bots, including a chatbot of the Ukrainian intelligence, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported on its Telegram channel. This happened yesterday, April 28, and resulted in the blocking of the Main Intelligence Bot.
