Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov paid a visit to Turkey, where he discussed security issues in the Black Sea in the country's capital, Ankara. This was reported by Cumhuriyet.


According to the publication, a spokesman for the Turkish Ministry of Defense emphasized that Umerov held a number of meetings with representatives of the Turkish agency. During these meetings, the parties discussed Turkey's support for Ukraine's independence and territorial integrity, as well as security in the Black Sea.


The spokesperson also stated his determination to continue the implementation of the Montreux Convention and expressed his intention to resume the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
