AFU stopped the attack: all Shaheds were destroyed during a Russian night attack

On Sunday evening, Russian troops launched a series of attacks on Ukraine, launching Shahed UAVs from the southern direction. This information was announced by the Ukrainian Air Force.

 

 

At 23:14, the Air Force observed Shahed UAVs in Kherson region heading northwest.


Additionally, at 23:35, several groups of Russian attack UAVs were spotted in the southern part of Mykolaiv region. They were also heading northwest.


Attacks also took place in other regions: Russian UAVs were also observed flying northwest in Kherson region.


The use of UAVs was also observed in Mykolaiv, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Tulchyn regions and the Black Sea.


At 6:05 a.m., the alert was raised in all regions except Mykolaiv region. At 6:28 a.m., the alert was canceled in Mykolaiv region as well.


Later, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that on the night of May 20, Ukraine was attacked by 29 Shahed kamikaze drones and an Iskander-M ballistic missile in Kharkiv region. 

 

 

However, thanks to the effective work of the Ukrainian Air Force, all drones were successfully destroyed.


According to the Air Force's Telegram message, the air attack was repelled in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Poltava, and Lviv regions.


The attacks by the Shahed were carried out from the areas of the Russian cities of Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk. Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and electronic warfare units were involved in the confrontation.
