A group of MPs wants to extend the period for updating data from 60 to 150 days: the Servants of the People party calls it a PR stunt

The Verkhovna Rada is proposing to extend the period for updating the data of conscripts from 60 to 150 days. This was announced by Volodymyr Ariev, MP from the European Solidarity party, during a telethon.

“Now the TCC system is not ready to accept the number of citizens who went to update their data. Because after updating the data in the “Reserve+” application and information about the search, you still need to go to the TCC. Citizens simply won't be able to physically update their data in 60 days. And they may get big fines. That's why my colleagues and I are registering a draft law today to extend the period for updating the data of persons liable for military service from 60 to 150 days,” Ariev said.

He also said that MPs from his party will demand that the Cabinet of Ministers and the Defense Ministry develop an application “in such a way that the TCCs are not overloaded and issues that can be resolved only after visiting the TCC can be resolved online.”

The ruling Servant of the People party responded to the MP's statement and called the bill a “political PR stunt.”

“There is currently no reason to believe that the ways of updating the data provided by law will not allow us to do this (update the data),” said MP Fedir Venislavsky.
