Lithuania joins the initiative: prepares radars for Ukraine as part of strengthening of air defense

The Lithuanian government has begun the process of providing air surveillance radars to Ukraine as part of a German initiative to strengthen air defense. According to LRT, 13.5 million euros have been allocated for this purpose.

The Lithuanian Defense Minister, Laurynas Kasčiūnas, noted that these radars will significantly strengthen the warning system in Ukraine.

He also emphasized that Lithuania joins the initiative created by Germany by providing Ukraine with the necessary means.

The minister also said that this year it is planned to send four radars to Ukraine, which will increase its ability to detect and neutralize air threats.
