More than three million GEL will be allocated from the reserve fund of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara to restore and rehabilitate the homes of 256 families damaged by natural disasters and fires.

The issue of assisting affected households was discussed during a meeting of the mixed governmental commission responsible for addressing disaster-related damage within Adjara’s administrative boundaries. The session was chaired by Nino Nizharadze, Minister of Health and Social Protection of Adjara.

Following the commission’s recommendation, financial assistance will be provided to families in the municipalities of Batumi, Kobuleti, Khelvachauri, Keda, Shuakhevi and Khulo.

Support for families affected by natural disasters and eco-migrants remains one of Adjara’s key priorities, the government claimed.

In 2025, the regional government allocated nearly 8 million GEL from its reserve fund to assist 704 families impacted by disasters.
