The victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine were 208 children

208 children were killed in Ukraine because of the Russian Federation's armed aggression, and another 387 were injured, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported.

 

"More than 595 children have suffered in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed invasion of our state by the Russian Federation. The official number of child victims over the past two days is unchanged at 208. The number of wounded has risen to 387," the report said.

 

According to juvenile prosecutors, children suffered the most in the Donetsk region - 120, Kyiv region - 113, Kharkiv region - 91, Chernihiv region - 66, Kherson region - 44, Mykolaiv region - 41, Luhansk region - 37, Zaporizhzhia region - 25, Sumy region - 17, in Kyiv city - 16, Zhitomyr region - 15.

 

These figures are not final, since work is under way to establish them in places of active combat operations, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

 

On April 20, a 5-year-old child was wounded as a result of the shelling of civilian infrastructure by the military of the aggressor country in the territory of Polohovsky district of Zaporizhia region.

 

1,500 educational institutions were damaged as a result of daily bombing and shelling of Ukrainian towns and villages by the Russian armed forces. At the same time, 102 of them were completely destroyed.
