UN: Russia's attack on Ukraine killed 4113 civilians

Since February 24, Russia's attack on Ukraine has killed 4,113 civilians and injured 4,916 more. This is reported by the UN.

Specifically, 4,113 people have been killed (1,550 men, 1,023 women, 95 girls and 100 boys, as well as 69 children and 1,276 adults whose gender is not yet known). 4,916 people (978 men, 658 women, 115 girls and 138 boys, as well as 168 children and 2,859 adults, the gender of which is not yet known) were injured.

In Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, 2,337 were killed and 2,808 wounded. In other areas where fighting has continued or is ongoing, 1,776 people were killed and another 2,108 were wounded.

As noted, the majority of civilian casualties are the result of, among other things, heavy artillery and multiple rocket launchers, missile and air strikes.

The UN notes that the actual figures are considerably higher because information from some places where intense fighting has taken place is delayed and many reports are still awaiting confirmation. This applies, for example, to Mariupol (Donetsk region), Izyum (Kharkiv region), and Popasna (Luhansk region).
