The Ukrainian government plans to allow citizens of Ukraine of draft age, who have reservation from mobilization, to go abroad on foreign business trips. As Economy Minister Yuliya Svyridenko said in an interview with Forbes, such a decision will be made in the near future.

 According to the minister, the country's government has abandoned the "EU Travel" program, under which Ukrainian men of conscription age were allowed to go abroad on business trips for seven days. The program provided for the possibility of traveling abroad to natural persons-entrepreneurs and legal entities that met certain conditions.

 "Taking into account the draft of the new decree on reservation, the separate procedure of "business trip" has lost its meaning, because booked persons will be able to cross the border without hindrance if they have the necessary documents," said Svyridenko.

 The decision of the Cabinet of Ministers is based on draft law No. 7687 on reservation from mobilization, which was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada at the beginning of November this year and signed by the head of state Volodymyr Zelenskyі.

 Svyridenko clarified that the new project on reservations is currently under consideration by the Cabinet of Ministers. However, it is not yet known under what conditions men will be allowed such business trips. The minister only noted that persons working in the public sector and at enterprises that produce products for the Ukrainian armed forces and are critically important for the country's economy will fall into the category of reservation from mobilization.

 "The discussion is in full swing. Our task is to help working businesses go abroad to sign new contracts, agreements, and participate in exhibitions," Svyridenko said.

 At the same time, employees who have already been booked for mobilization can switch to the new format after the reservation period has expired, the minister added.
