An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 occurred on Monday afternoon in the Romanian county of Gorzh.

 According to the National Institute for Research and Development of Earth Physics (INFP), tremors were recorded at a depth of 15 kilometers.

 The earthquake occurred 102 km southwest of Sibiu and 107 km northwest of Craiova.

 There are no reports of casualties or damage.

 In Romania, the strongest earthquake in 2022 occurred on November 3 and had a magnitude of 5.2, while in 2021, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 was recorded on May 26.

 On February 6 of this year, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6 occurred in the seismic zone of Vrancha.
