Secretary General of the Council of Europe on the execution of a Ukrainian prisoner: The guilty must be punished

The Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maria Peychynovych-Burich reacted to the video of the execution of a Ukrainian prisoner of war by the Russian military.

She wrote about it on Twitter.

According to Pejchynovych-Burich, she was "scared" by the appearance of this video.

"This is inhumane, and I condemn it in the strongest possible way. The guilty must be brought to justice," stressed the Secretary General of the Council of Europe.

It will be recalled that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, stated that the new video with the brutal punishment of a Ukrainian prisoner emphasizes the need to exclude Russia from the UN Security Council and the organization as a whole.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine urged the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to pay attention to the video showing the brutal punishment of a Ukrainian prisoner by the Russian military.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia stated that after such facts it is impossible to talk about any dialogue with Russia or the presence of Russian athletes at the Olympic Games.

The European Commission noted that the video with the execution of a Ukrainian prisoner of war - if it is confirmed that it is real - once again shows the contempt of the Russian Federation for international law, and those involved in this should not go unpunished.
