Mykhailo Podolyak, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, expressed on Twitter his belief that in the current situation it is essential for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to gain access to long-range Taurus and ATACMS missiles.
Mykhailo Podolyak emphasized that the introduction of long-range missiles into the arsenal of the Ukrainian army means a significant limitation of Russia's operational resources.
"Long-range missiles for Ukraine now mean a sharp reduction in Russia's combat capabilities. This is the active destruction of Russia's reserves and resources on distant approaches. This is the destruction of rear logistics - warehousing, transportation, fuel," Podolyak noted.
In addition, according to Podolyak, the supply of long-range missiles will help accelerate the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It will also help minimize casualties and save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.
The adviser also expressed his belief that the supply and use of long-range missiles can help resolve the conflict at the diplomatic level.
"And most importantly, it is de-escalation. This is what is relevant... diplomacy. Ukraine needs Taurus (Germany) and ATACMS (USA)," Podolyak said.
