More than 22 thousand pilgrims have already arrived in Uman

As of Thursday morning, about 22 thousand pilgrims have arrived in Uman (Cherkasy region), said Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.

"In the morning, about 22 thousand pilgrims have already arrived in the city. Mostly from Israel, the United States and a number of European countries," Taburets wrote on his Telegram channel.

"We urge both locals and visitors to be as vigilant as possible, to respond appropriately to air raid alerts, to follow safety rules and not to succumb to enemy manipulation. We already know how Russia likes to create fakes to justify its criminal actions, intimidate and provoke. The recipe for counteraction remains the same: keep a cool mind, do not panic and trust only official sources of information," Taburets emphasized.

According to the head of the RMA, "the situation in Uman is stable and under control. Our security and defense forces are working in an intensified mode. Together with Ukrainian law enforcement officers, Israeli police officers are already on duty in the pilgrimage neighborhood."
